After obtaining his degree in Maritime Operations at the Maritime Institute de Ruyter in Flushing, Frank has gained experience at various companies within the maritime industry.
Frank has been active for a period of 7 years as an engineer/maritime officer, during which he has worked on general cargo ships, tugboats and cruise vessels. Also he worked at a diesel engine manufacturer.
During this time, he gained practical experience in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, deck machinery and ship propulsion systems. One of his specialisms was the planning and coordination of maintenance on 4-stroke engines.
Frank is now active as a maritime damage surveyor, in which he investigates damage claims regarding ships and mechanical installations.
His scope of work includes maritime shipping, inland navigation and pleasure craft.
