Pieter specialises in handling structural and civil engineering claims in CAR, Transport/Assembly, Operating Equipment and Liability for enterprises, construction companies and public authorities.
After completing a technical education, from 1981 to 1985 Pieter worked as an account manager at a sales organisation, where he laid the foundation for communication with parties with a wide variety of interests. In late 1985, Pieter switched to the loss adjusting sector. He started as a junior loss adjuster, responsible for handling property claims. In the subsequent years, in addition to his role as loss adjuster, he held the role of Field Manager/Department Manager and Salvage Coordinator. In 1995, Pieter was included in the NIVRE (Dutch Association of Chartered Loss Adjusters) register, under registration number 96/1117. As well as completing the basic NIVRE training, he completed the Technische Varia training.
In 1997, Pieter moved to a different loss adjusting company and chose to specialise in technical insurances. He is frequently deployed to assess damage/loss in disasters, including the Enschede fireworks disaster.
In the summer of 2006, Pieter continued to hone his skills further still within this specialisation in the technical insurance sector, at a niche player in the market. At this company, he was responsible for a large number of files in relation to structural and civil engineering claims for enterprises, construction companies and public authorities. In addition, Pieter is frequently asked by clients to handle claims in complicated circumstances, where in addition to handling the claim, the communication between parties plays an important role.
Bringing with him extensive knowledge and experience, Pieter joined our company in June 2021.
